Authors’ name/s and surname/s

The name/s and surname/s of the author/s of the paper should be written in full. No abbreviations. The institutional affiliation and email address of each author ought to be included underneath each author’s name/s and surname/s, in the following order: name/s and surname/s, institutional affiliation, and email address.

When the paper is co-authored, check the order of the authors before submitting, and kindly make sure that you all agree with the order in which you are mentioned.

Manuscript

Before you submit you are kindly requested to ensure that:

  • The manuscript has been checked for spelling and grammar
  • Manuscript includes abstract (max. 200 words) and keywords (4 words)
  • All references mentioned in the ‘References’ section are cited in the text
  • Notes (kept to a minimum) have been checked for correspondence with text
  • Manuscript includes all figures and tables cited in the text
  • Manuscript is formatted as per instructions outlined in the ‘Submissions’ section of the journal’s website
  • Where applicable, reference to ethical clearance is included in the text

What a submission to MRER implies

Submission of an article implies that the manuscript, in its present form:

  • has not been published elsewhere
  • is not under consideration for publication elsewhere
  • has been checked for potential plagiarism. The author/authors will assume full responsibility should plagiarism be flagged by an injured party
  • Permission has been obtained for use of copyrighted material from other sources (including the Internet)

Inclusive language

Before you submit please make sure that the text is free from statements that promote social and cultural stereotypes, perceptions and assumptions. Patronising and judgemental language is to be avoided Gender-neutral language (plural nouns where possible) is encouraged.
